 Claudio Nizzi Wer Nick Raider kennt weiß, dass Krimis eines der Lieblingsthemen von Nizzi sind. Doch die Geschichten, in denen der Agent der New Yorker Mordkommission in Aktion tritt, sind dermaßen voll von Action und Überraschungseffekten, dass sie keinen Platz für Humor lassen, auch wenn es sich der ausgelassene Kollege von Nick, Marvin Brown, nie nehmen lässt, die aufgekommene Spannung mit dummen Sprüchen und dämlichen Witzen zu lockern. Mit Leo Pulp befriedigt Claudio Nizzi seine Neugier und Lust, ironisch geschriebene Krimi-Handlungen zu verfassen, die gleichzeitig die Lachmuskeln trainieren.

Claudio Nizzi wird 1938 in Setif (Algerien) geboren und gilt heute als einer der Meister des italienischen Comics. Seine Karriere als Autor beginnt er mit Veröffentlichungen in Zeitungen, mit Novellen und Romanen und kehrt 1969 zu den Sprechblasen zurück. Er beginnt eine lange, aufstrebende Zusammenarbeit in der Zeitung „Giornalino”, auf dessen Seiten er erfolgreiche Geschichten jedes erdenklichen Genre schreibt: von Abenteuern in Afrika („Steve Damon”) über Abenteuer auf hoher See („Capitan Erik”), Überarbeitungen von Literaturklassikern bis hin zu Western-Storys („Larry Yuma”) und schließlich humoristischen Erzählungen.

In seiner Schreiberkarriere darf es natürlich nicht an Polizisten fehlen, es gibt den Oberleutnant Marlo und die sympathischen Polizisten Rosco & Sonny, die nicht gerade Kriminalfälle lösen, sondern eher lustige Abenteuer erleben. Mitte der Achtziger Jahre wechselt er sich mit Gianluigi Bonelli beim Schreiben von Geschichten für Tex ab, eine Arbeit, die er noch heute mit seinem beeindruckenden Können fortführt. 1988 erblickt Nizzis Comic-Held „Nick Raider” das Licht der Comicwelt, die erste im Bonelli-Verlag erscheinende Krimireihe, deren Leitung er anfangs auch übernimmt.

Nizzi ist einer der kreativsten Comic-Autoren überhaupt und hat in seiner langen Karriere für dutzende Zeichner in Italien und im Ausland geschrieben.

  Massimo Bonfatti Die Aufgabe, bei Leo Pulps Entstehung zeichnerisch an Claudio Nizzis Seite zu arbeiten, gebührt dem italienischen Comiczeichner Massimo Bonfatti, der unter Liebhabern italienischer, humoristischer Comics sehr bekannt ist.

Er wird 1960 in Modena geboren und erlernt seinen Beruf in Zusammenarbeit mit Silver (Guido Silvestri, „Lupo Alberto”), Bonvi (Franco Bonvicini, „Sturmtruppen”) Roberto Ghiddi und Clod (Claudio Onesti). Außer Merchandising-Artikel zu gestalten und Illustrationen und Karikaturen zu zeichnen, arbeitet Bonfatti auch in der Werbung, Malerei und Fotografie. Er entwirft einen Comicstrip über Totò, einem der berühmtesten und beliebtesten Schauspieler Italiens und illustriert für die französische Zeitschrift „Pif” von François Corteggiani geschriebene Geschichten. 1988 entwirft er seine erste, eigene geschriebene und gezeichnete Serie mit dem Titel „I Girovaghi”. Doch die Aufmerksamkeit der Leser und Kritiker bekommt er vor allem durch Geschichten und Titelbilder für „Cattivik” und „Lupo Alberto” und dank der Zusammenarbeit an der satirischen, italienischen Ausgabe der Zeitschrift „Comix” und dem „Corrierino”. Im Jahre 2006 entwickelt er den wöchentlich im Internet erscheinenden Comicstrip „Barbolino”. Die Fälle von Leo Pulp Das Verschwinden der Amanda Cross, Die Verbrechen am Sunset Boulevard und Der Fall der Roten Magnolie sind eine weitere, definitive Bestätigung seines grotesken, unbekümmerten, poetischen und detaillierten Zeichenstils. Die serie – La serie

Leo Pulp ist einer der Privatdetektive, die man in den „Film Noir” der Vierziger Jahre zu Gesicht bekommt, mit ihrem Namenszug auf der geschliffenen Glastür, dem kleinen, mit zwei durchgesessenen Sesseln möblierten Wartezimmer und einem stets unaufgeräumten und völlig chaotischen Büro, da das Honorar von 25 Dollar am Tag, mit dem ein Privatdetektiv seine moralische Unversehrtheit garantieren möchte, den Luxus einer Putzfrau nicht erlaubt.

Leo Pulp lässt nichts missen, was an die Privatdetektive von damals erinnert: er ist hart im Nehmen wie sie, hart im Handeln wie sie, zynisch wie sie, romantisch wie sie (doch das würde er nicht mal zugeben, wenn man ihn foltern würde), ein Neinsager wie sie und schließlich (wie man heute sagen würde) politisch unkorrekt wie sie.

Er kämpft seine kleinen Kriege stets als Einzelgänger, der Einzige, der ihm immer wieder hilft ist Polizeiinspektor Nick Tracy (den Leo allerdings immer Dick nennt, was Nick zur Weißglut bringt), doch das tut Nick nicht aus Kameradschaftlichkeit oder Hilfsbereitschaft, sondern weil Leo mit ihm eine Rechnung offen zu haben scheint und er daher dazu gezwungen ist.

Eine weitere Person in Leos Privatschnüffler-Leben ist die blonde Norma mir ihren üppigen Formen, die in einer Bar arbeitet, die Leo regelmäßig besucht, da er dort sein Lieblingsgericht gratis aufgetischt bekommt: Rühreier mit Speck. Norma ist eigentlich Leos Freundin, doch er, dem es gefällt, sich zynischer zu geben, als er in Wirklichkeit ist, ist felsenfest davon überzeugt, sich aus rein opportunistischen Gründen mit ihr einzulassen.

Leos Fälle spielen sich in Hollywood ab, in der Welt des Films, wo er den berühmtesten aller berühmten Diven begegnet (von denen er sich natürlich niemals verführen lassen würde), den bekanntesten Schauspielern (von denen er sich niemals beeindrucken lässt) und den skrupellosesten Gangstern.

Mit nach vorn geladenem Kinn und stets geladener Browning gibt Leo niemals auf. Nichts kann ihn aufhalten: weder das breitlippige Lächeln einer unwiderstehlichen Blondine, noch das ohrenbetäubende Rattern eines Maschinengewehrs. Er bleibt immer am Ball, bis jedes noch so schwierige und komplexe Geheimnis gelüftet ist.

Sein Honorar liegt bei fünfundzwanzig Dollar am Tag plus Spesen, seine Waffe ist eine Browning Automatik, sein Wagen ein alter Karren, der nur mit Müh und Not anspringt und seine Gabe ist ein verdammt guter Geruchssinn für mysteriöse Intrigen im Hollywood der Vierziger Jahre. Der Privatschnüffler Leo Pulp begleitet den Leser in eine abgebrühte Welt aus Backpfeifen, tödlichem Kugelhagel aus Maschinengewehren, bedauernswerten, nicht besonders ernst zu nehmenden Gangstern und heißen Schnecken. Kurzum, in L.A., der Stadt der Engel, die im ersten Band den Ort des Geschehens von Leo Pulps erstem, gefährlichen Fall darstellt, kann man umkommen – und das mit einem Lächeln auf den Lippen …!

Domenica 22 febbraio si svolgerà il "28° Carnevale dei Ragazzi di Solignano", la manifestazione, che da decenni richiama centinaia di giovani e meno giovani quest'anno si arricchisce con la presenza di creatori di fumetti di prim'ordine. Il mattino alle ore 10:30 spettacolo canoro dei bambini delle scuole della zona in collaborazione col corpo insegnanti, dalle 11:30 stand gastronomico con gnocco fritto, polenta vin brulè e frittelle di baccala. Nel pomeriggio dalle 14:00 grande sfilata carnevalesca con maschere e carri allegorici a grande gettito, tanti spettacoli di attrazione a sorpresa, presentazione ed animazione a cura di Romano Carnevali con a partecipazione dei clown di corsia gruppo vip modena ed estrazione premi della lotteria di carnevale. Nella piazza del Carnevale sarà presente lo stand del Fumetto al Trancio dove si potrà acquistare una tavola originale fresca appena sfornata e disegnata al momento da un autore di fumetti e in più un simpatico omaggio da parte di Fumetteria a tutti i bambini. Quest'anno il libretto del Carnevale di Solignano è un po' particolare, è diventato il Giornalino del Carnevale, infatti un nutrito staff di fumettari professionisti e meno ha dato un fantastico quanto originale contributo a questo albo annuale: hanno disegnato apposta per questa manifestazione delle illustrazioni fumettistiche ed umoristiche dedicate al carnevale, e con piacere abbiamo potuto riscontrare che sono vere e proprie opere d'arte inedite che renderanno questo libretto un vero e proprio pezzo da collezione visto che oltretutto ha una tiratura di sole duemila copie. Converebbe perciò conservarlo da affiancare ai "numero uno" di Tex o Dylan Dog. L'idea è nata grazie all'incontro con Massimo Bonfatti, il famoso disegnatore di Cattivik e di Leo Pulp. La sua voglia di dare un supporto al paese di Solignano al quale è per certe ragioni un po' legato, ha dato il via ad una collaborazione con alcuni suoi amici e colleghi che fanno capo all'Associazione di fumettari ComixComunity che hanno accolto con favore la proposta di pubblicizzare il fumetto italiano da cui pare che le giovani generazioni se ne vadano allontanando. Oggi lo sappiamo: i fumetti sono una espressione di arte pari a tutte le altre che oltre a stimolare la conoscenza portano anche verso una concezione della grafica che prima mancava. E l'Italia è una, se non la principale, fucina di quest'arte. Molti non sanno che i principali personaggi della Disney sono stati inventati in Italia, mentre nel mondo USA non sanno nemmeno chi sia Paperoga e le Giovani Marmotte. E che dire di Tex Willer che ha fatto la storia del West Americano direttamente dalla Pianura Padana. E Dylan Dog, Lupo Alberto e Nick Carter? Siamo dei geni, noi italiani, nulla da ridire. E così eccoci al Carnevale di Solignano, con i ragazzi del ComicStudio ed i loro disegni che il giorno del carnevale gestiranno uno stand del fumetto disegnando in diretta per tutti i ragazzi che amano o ameranno il fumetto: il Fumetto Al Trancio. Il loro appello è rivolto a chiunque pensi di avere una tendenza verso il mondo dell'illustrazione: fatevi avanti e contattateli.

Questo è l'omaggio che i nuovi soci alla ComixComunity riceveranno all'atto dell'iscrizione. Insomma, tutta questa pappardella per dirvi che il solo valore intrinseco della scatolina con le spillette e la rivista superano di gran lunga il costo dell'iscrizione (15 euro), senza contare che nell'arco dell'anno molte saranno le produzioni, gli eventi e le opportunità che la ComixComuniry proporrà ai soci con fortissimi sconti o addirittura gratis! LUCA ZANNI. Viene espulso in provincia di Modena nel lontano 1986, da lì appena riesce a prendere una penna in mano comincia a disegnare corpi scomposti e apparati genitali femminili celati sotto le false spoglie di "occhi di tartaruga". Dopo il diploma magistrale frequenta Milano per tre anni rischiando di metterla incinta in diverse occasioni. Ad oggi lavora come freelance da Modena anche se nutre moltissima voglia di diventare più "giusto" e imparare il celtico odierno in quella fantasmagorica meta chiamata estero.
